Melbourne Colonial Dancers

Margot had been a member of the Melbourne Colonial Dancers since about 1983.  The Melbourne Colonial Dancers Inc. have been teaching Traditional Colonial dancing since 1974.   Photos show Margot in some of her costumes she made. At one time she was the Costume Co-Ordinator and designed the current costumes the Display Team wear.  

   Margot ceased dancing with the Colonial Dancers since her stroke in 2009, but she still enjoys the company of some of her friends she made there, and managers the occasional dance at various functions.

They run weekly classes on Wednesday nights at – (check current venue while hall under-going repairs)

 Collingwood Senior Citizens’ Hall, Eddy Crt, Abbotsford (behind Collingwood Town Hall and Collingwood Police Station:- Melways ref 2CH10).

  1st Wed. in February to 2nd Wed. in December with two exceptions:- The Wed just before and the Wed just after Easter. 8 – 10 pm then supper and social get-together after class.    Singles or couples welcome.

 Mini disc music; $5 Members  $6 Non members (check current prices)

 There is live music on the 2nd Wednesday of the month except December (when live music is on the 1st Wednesday and the Christmas Barbeque is on the 2nd December)

 The Melbourne Colonial Dancers also run Social functions including two Balls a year.
